CodeNavi Model License — Buric-E4B
This license governs the Buric-E4B model weights (the "Model") distributed with
CodeNavi — including the files under /models/Buric-E4B in CodeNavi images and
packages. It does not govern the CodeNavi server software (see the
CodeNavi Evaluation License) or third-party models (see the
third-party notices bundled with the package, docs/THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md).
Grant
Subject to a valid CodeNavi license (evaluation or commercial), you may run and use the Model — including for commercial purposes — as part of, and in conjunction with, a licensed CodeNavi deployment.
No restriction on outputs: embeddings produced by the Model, search results derived from them, and any index built with them are yours to use without restriction. There is no non-commercial limitation of any kind on your use of CodeNavi or the Model's outputs.
Restrictions
Except where applicable law gives you a non-waivable right, you may not:
- redistribute, publish, sell, or otherwise make the Model weights (in whole, in part, or in converted/quantized form) available to any third party;
- use the Model standalone, or in any product, service, or system other than a licensed CodeNavi deployment;
- use the Model or its internal representations to train, fine-tune, or distill another model.
Base model attribution
The Model is a fine-tune of Qwen/Qwen3-Embedding-4B (which derives from
Qwen/Qwen3-4B-Base), licensed under the Apache License 2.0. The
Apache 2.0 license text and the attribution it requires are preserved alongside the Model
(APACHE-2.0-BASE.txt in the model directory). This CodeNavi Model License applies to
the fine-tuned weights as a derivative work, as permitted by Apache 2.0; it grants no rights to
the unmodified base model, which remains available from its upstream source under Apache 2.0.
Term
This license terminates automatically when your CodeNavi license terminates or expires past any applicable grace period, or upon breach of the Restrictions. Upon termination you must stop using the Model and delete all copies in your possession; indexes and outputs already produced remain yours.
